Our club finals took place today on another very hot day of the year. First on were the ladies’ and men’s singles. Both matches got under way at the same time but as the men’s between Neil Baber and Tom Misselbrook finished, the ladies were tied at 5 games each in the first set. The mixed final was on next and was all but over when the two ladies finalists, Jacky Searle and Rachel Dowle, completed their marathon match. Both ladies were totally exhausted from the heat and all the running they’d done, Jacky just beating Rachel in third set tie-break. Thank you to everyone involved. Full results below.
