A maintenance day took place at the club this morning. The few volunteers who turned up thoroughly cleaned the clubhouse, strimmed the grass, weeded various areas around the courts and clubhouse, sanded down and varnished the benches, cleaned the gutters, filled various holes and tied down the fence to prevent balls from escaping.

Just wanted to express my gratitude for giving up your time & supporting the ‘Maintenance Day’ at the Club this morning.
Everyone’s help is sincerely appreciated as I know how precious “weekend time” can be. I think we got much accomplished in a couple of hours & fortunately the weather was kind to us, albeit a little chilly at times.
Andrew gets a mention in dispatches because, although he couldn’t be there today, I know he stayed on after the mens 8 on Thursday to deal with brambles & some fence adjustments. Chris came for the tennis but knuckled down admirably to treat a bench whilst waiting to play.
