Juliet Daniel from Newton St Cyres Tennis Club (second left) was selected to represent Devon Over-35 Ladies in the County Cup on the famous grass courts in Eastbourne. The conditions were tricky, with high winds and rain showers, which meant that on the second day short sets were played in order to complete all the matches.
The team played five single and five double matches every day against three different counties in Division 6B. The las day was scorching. Good news – they were promoted to the next division 5A, which was a great achievement.
