Business Challenge is a team tennis event open for entry to all local businesses and organisations. Ability is optional, enthusiasm is compulsory 🙂
The event will be run over five weeks on our courts, with balls, rackets (if needed but by all means bring your own) and light refreshments (tea/coffee, nibbles) provided. A member of the club will be there to organise and oversee the evening.
Day/Time: Saturdays, 6:30 PM
Dates: 30th April, 7th May, 14th May, 21st May, 28th May
Teams: You will need to field a team of at least 2 players on each Saturday listed above (can be different players each time). Ideally, you want 3-4 players in your team to share the matches. Maximum of 6 players per team.
Format: You will play all the other “business” teams during the course of the five weeks, although there may be a rest Saturday depending on how many teams enter the event. You will play two sets of doubles and two sets of singles against another team on a match night. One point will be gained for every GAME of tennis won in each set played. For example if you win a set 6-4, you will gain six points and your opponents will gain four points, and so on. The team at the end of the five weeks with the most points will be the winner.

Entry: £20 per team

1st place – one-hour group coaching session with our club coach Jon
2nd place – tube of tennis balls for each team member
