Finals Day took place on Sunday, 21st July this year. Weather was glorious, the hut was decorated with bunting and everyone brought lots of lovely food to share.
The day started off with the Men’s and Ladies’ Doubles, followed by the Ladies’ and Men’s Singles and finished off by the Mixed Doubles Final.
The Men’s Doubles Final was contested by Harry & Henry and Chris & Jon, the youngsters coming out on top beating the “seniors” 6:2 6:1
The Ladies Doubles Final was decided between Jana & Rachel and Linda & Selena, with Jana and Rachel emerging victorious 6:4 6:2.
The Men’s Singles Final was fought between Harry and Neville, and was won quite decisively by Harry 6:1 6:1.
The Ladies Singles Final saw Jana and Sarah battling it out in a close contest with Jana just beating Sarah 7:6 6:3.
The last final, and possibly the most entertaining of all, was the Mixed Doubles with Jana & Julian versus Val & Jon. Decided by a third set 10-point tiebreak, Jana & Julian just beat their opponents 5:7 6:4 10:7.
