On 2nd and 8th March we held junior open days at the club. The first one took place under typically grey rainy Devonian skies and, frankly, we didn’t expect anyone to turn up. However, seven excited tennis-ready kids came and despite the terrible conditions seemed to enjoy it. The second open day couldn’t have been more different. We had the biggest turnout ever with 33 children of various ages, from 5 to 17, arriving to have a go. Our coach Toby soon realized that his plan for the day based on last week’s numbers wasn’t going to work but coped brilliantly and came up with all sorts of activities to keep the kids amused and running around.
