On Saturday, we held a children’s Open Day at the tennis club. The weather was dry if a little chilly but our wonderful Viv made sure the parents didn’t freeze too much by offering them hot cups of tea, while coach Toby kept the kids moving. 14 children between the ages of 4 – 11 turned up for the first session. There was running and jumping and ball throwing and plenty of games to play, oh and a bit of tennis, too! All the children looked like they were genuinely enjoying themselves. The second session for older children was not as busy but it meant that the young lady who did come had Toby all to herself for a one-to-one lesson!
