RESULTS AND PHOTOS NOW HERE
On Sunday, 10th July 2022, there will be an American tournament at the club in the morning instead of the regular club session. Afterwards, we shall wander over to the Beer Engine and watch the Men’s Wimbledon Final. All members and their families welcome!
Time of tournament: 10 AM
Time of final: 2 PM
20 places have been booked in the new downstairs room at the Beer Engine for the tennis club but more can be added, so please let Sarah know asap whether you would like to:
a) just play in the tournament
b) play in the tournament and then go to the Beer Engine to watch the final
c) just go to the Beer Engine to watch the final
d) something else 😀

Hello, Ian Harris reminded me that Newton Rec are holding their Football Youth Tournament today and tomorrow. This has implications for parking in particular. You may be able to park at the Beer Engine because you will be using it later to watch the Final. Alternatively there will be a field allocated for parking with a cost of £1. Ian suggested everyone add extra time to their travel because there will be a lot of cars coming off the 377 for the tournament.
He also asked if Tennis players could walk along the back fence( behind the changing rooms) to the courts because there will be electric cables along the concrete path. This was a polite request but Ian did point out they had not been made aware the Tennis tournament was happening.
